QUESTION
I have been trying to deploy my WAR file using mvn tomcat7:deploy command but I am getting broken pipe errors.I am using Ubuntu. Here are the required files.
Here is the POM.xml
...ANSWER
Answered 2018-Apr-13 at 14:10in your tomcatusers.xml , for the user maven you have role "managerscript" , change it to manager-script. Also if you are running maven from a different machine apart from where tomcat is, please use the ip address of the machine and make sure the port 8080 is open for communication.

Install springmvc-helloworld
You can use springmvc-helloworld like any standard Java library. Please include the the jar files in your classpath. You can also use any IDE and you can run and debug the springmvc-helloworld component as you would do with any other Java program. Best practice is to use a build tool that supports dependency management such as Maven or Gradle. For Maven installation, please refer maven.apache.org. For Gradle installation, please refer gradle.org .
