It's completely fine to run #'cl-state-machine-examples/tamagochi:run,

But generated executable signals SIMPLE-ERROR like this:

My guess would be that your keyword->symbol function interns into the wrong package, because the read in there is executed from a different one:

Well, I'm trying to make an initial tamagochi selection (ignore the names, just testing), but I doesn't work.

When I type 2 or 3 or any other name than Rattatouie, I get: "Rattatouie é o seu novo Tamagochi!". In English it would be "Rattatouie is your new Tamagochi!" (I'm brazilian)

You have to use the in operator to test for multiple values:

I am trying to create an application that shows a list of 'Characters' with the properties Sleep, Hunger, Boredom and Health. I want to show the current characters and their status (status depends on which of the values is the biggest (Sleep, Hunger and Boredom)). Since status isnt a property in the character class I am not able to do it as I did with the name and health:

Since Status is a property of the data itself, and not just an artifact for the UI, move the calculation into a property in your model class.

PhotoImage is a tkinter class which, unfortunately, can not deal with .png files.

The solution is to rely on the Python Imaging Library1 which offers support to several image formats and transforms them to image objects that can be "understood" by tkinter:
