QUESTION
How can I do an animated shape in the form of cake or clock or circle that starts with one small slice and then over time fills the whole circle:
Is that possible with CSS? Or do I need SVG? I couldn’t find any CSS shape or mask or clipping path or anything that would work with this shape.
Thank you very much for any hints!

QUESTION
I have a custom animation that the regular Vue transition doesn't quite cover. I have it implemented elsewhere with a conditional v-bind:class
, but that doesn't work well for conditional v-if
blocks or v-for
groups.
I need to add a class ('open') one frame after the element is entered as with v-enter-to
, but I need it to never be removed from the element.
I then need it removed removed when leaving to trigger the closing animation.
Am I using Vue Transition wrong and this is perfectly possible within transition, or is there a way to add/remove the class around the enter/leave functionality?
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-09 at 14:25I could only think of a work-around. You could try to add the class in the created() or mounted() hook. Before you push another path to the router, you could remove it and add a fake timeout for the $router.push(path).
This is not clean but i am not sure if i fully understand what are you trying to do.
QUESTION
Good morning,
I am creating an animation by connecting 6 nodes coordinates at 10 different time steps.
I start with a test: I first create a static plot for a time equal to 2 (for example) and I get the exact static plot that I am expecting: all and only the consecutive nodes are connected.
Then I create the animation. Unfortunately, the animated plot connects the nodes in the wrong way. You can see that the animation connects the consecutive nodes, but also the second and the second to last nodes.
Any idea why? Thanks
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 11:52The issue is that in your static plot, you have actually created a list of Line2D
objects (try printing line1
and you will see its not a single instance).
But, in the animation function, you just create a single Line2D
instance to set the xdata
and ydata
for.
We can change to creating a list of Line2D
instances, then loop over them and set the appropriate x and y data for each segment like so:
QUESTION
How do I produce an animation that simulates the burning effect of fire consuming an UIView
from top to bottom in Swift?
I found Fireworks, an app that allows users to tweak and try out different settings of CAEmitterLayer
with instant results. The effects are great for applying to a whole screen but how would I use it for my purpose - where the UIView
must disappear as the fire consumes it from one end to the other?
Is there some tutorial on consuming UIView
s with fire using the particle emitter anywhere? I know that I’m supposed to show some code but anything I put here would be irrelevant. I’ve also exhausted my search engine looking for something similar. That’s how I found the Fireworks app actually.
This seems to be a use case that shouldn't be uncommon.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 14:24I was once in your shoe before and came across this Open source library called particle animations.
I would NOT recommend using the library itself since it's deprecated. But I would recommend referring to its source code to get an idea of how to use CAEmitterLayer and CAEmitterCell
to make the looks of a Fire!
As you could see from its readme, it has direct examples of Fire. It also states that even Apple and Facebook uses CAEmitterLayer and CAEmitterCell
to produce the effect of a fire.
Feel free to ask for more questions.
QUESTION
I would like to draw rectangle on a barchart just like a animation. I only need to draw one rectangle one time (maybe keep it for 0.5 secs) then remove it and draw another rectangle.
Currently all rectangles will be draw on screen! I try to use exit pattern but not work!
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 03:42There appear to be two key issues:
Enter/Update/Exit
The exit selection only contains elements when there are selected elements in the DOM which do not have corresponding items in the data array. In your case we have an empty selection with bound data:
QUESTION
I have a navbar

component in my nextjs app.
In my index component I'm using useState

It works perfectly fine but I want to add animation when user clicks on hamburger menu, the sidebar should be animated left to right and when clicked on close icon it should go back to right to left. FYI I am using tailwind css.

QUESTION
I'm new to android studio and i'm not sure what was going on with it. How can I solve this error?
In the logcat, it mentioned that I required a view for recycler_food_list which apparently I had already coded into the foodlistfragment.java.
Logcat
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 03:29You're doing inflater.inflate(R.layout.fragment_menu, container, false);
, not inflating your R.layout.fragment_food_list
. You'll need to inflate the right layout to find your Recycler view.
QUESTION
I'm trying to make a string that will write itself letter by letter until completing the sentence, and the speed of appearing each letter is based on an input that varies from 1 to 10. At the end of the string, it will blink for 5 seconds until that an alien will appear. My idea was to create a setInterval to add the letters and when the counter added the array size it would return the final animation of the loop with the new setInterval call, and before it was called again it had already been cleared, and called again in a recursion by setTimout callback to maintain the infinite loop. But it's not reaching setTimout, why?
//script.js
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 23:37The issue is that in the else
statement, you are returning a function that is never called.

Install animation
You can use animation like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
