Exporting OptiTrack camera captures as jpeg
            Asked 2018-Nov-09 at 20:18

In the Motive software for OptiTrack, .tak (take) files are generated which contain the motion capture data.

Is there a way to export the individual camera frames as jpeg images?

            ANSWER

            Answered 2018-Nov-09 at 20:18

You cannot export frame by frame as jpeg, see: https://forums.naturalpoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=15509&p=65604&hilit=kimtae55#p65604

But you can export the video and turn that into frames using ffmpeg.

Is it possible to replace SteamVR Lighthouse system by OptiTrack or use both OptiTrack and Lighthouse to create a large room scale VR ( 20 x 20 meters) for existing SteamVR games like PayDay 2? Or is it only possible to use OptiTrack is to create new games?

            QUESTION

How to calculate transformation from a camera to a motion capture's coordinate frame?
            Asked 2018-Mar-24 at 21:32

I have a motion capture system (optitrack) that can give me the pose of a rigid body tracked by the system. I have attached a camera to the rigid body in an arbitrary location and pose. Given any 3D point P in the camera's coordinate frame, I would like to calculate the point P' in the motion capture's coordinate frame. Would you please tell me what is the process for finding the transformation that relates the camera's coordinate frame to the motion capture's coordinate frame?

            Thank you,
