QUESTION
Eclipse 4.4.2v2015024-1700
I'm trying to launch a local Tomcat 7 server that's for an older project I haven't modified in a couple of years. I was able to get the server up and started this morning, then I made some code changes that required a newer version of a shared library, so I updated the relevant POM with the new version number. Answered 2018-Feb-28 at 17:19I can't explain why this didn't seem to work yesterday, but this resolved my problem:
- Restore eclipse from a backup.
- Create a new work space.
- Import existing Maven Projects.
- Add a local embedded Tomcat server and set the project as a module to it.
- Start the server.
The only thing that I did differently from when I posted the question was #1. I can't help but think that the one of the eclipse components either in the work space or from the binaries somehow got corrupted yesterday.
QUESTION
I have eclipse Mars on CentOS and I can't reach "java build path", "deployment assembly", "project facets" and some other tabs in my project's properties.
A Problems occurred after invoking code from plug-in "org.eclipse.jface".
error windows comes up so I attached the screenshot of its details.
I searched and tried a lot of solutions (including cleaning projects, switching workspaces, create a new project, removing .classpath, .project and .settings, starting eclipse with --clean, clean IDE install, changing JDK), but none worked so far. Did anyone beat this?
